Teachers miss their studentsTeachers continue to find ways to let students know how much they matter. Car parades are continuing in the district this week at Dallas Elementary and Parkcrest Elementary. Teachers from Chase Secondary have added a video tribute to their students. The message is clear. Rick PopoffA contingent of school bus drivers are helping School District No. 73 Kamloops-Thompson facility and operations staff clean schools during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“A bus drivers’ usual workday cannot be delivered remotely, so this keeps those able to work during the pandemic, employed for the district in a meaningful way,” said Allen Blohm , operations manager.

Online storytelling for Day of Sucwentwecw This year’s Day of Sucwentwecw, on April 7,  was different for students across the district.
Usually, it is a day dedicated for them to invite an Elder, Knowledge Keeper or representative from one of the local bands in the Secwepemcul'ewc to be witness and welcomed. It is meant to be a day for students to share their learning, to learn more, and to participate in reconciliation with Aboriginal people through respect and acknowledgement.
